Stranger Things Season 5 Update

 

 The Strangers Things Broadcast channel on Instagram sent out some messages teasing things we could see in season 5. They gave us some photo updates of things that looks like some icons might be making a return, both locations and characters/creatures.

There is the first picture which is a sign on set and at the top it says VFX department, "STOP! SCANNING IN PROGRESS" and "Thank you!", and at the end there is a pics of a Demogorgon. For starters this could mean that they are doing VFX work while they are actually filming which would allow them for things to get done faster in post-production as we all know Netflix is trying to prioritize Stranger Things season 5 to get it out as fast as possible. On the other hand and the biggest takeaway here is that we are getting more Demogorgon action likely in this final season. We saw the Demogorgon in season 1, in season 3 we saw at the very end and at the post credit scene and of course in season 4 we saw proper fights of Demogorgon in Russia. Well with this being the final season of Stranger Things, it would only be fitting to bring the iconic creature back for one last ride and who knows how many we can end up seeing in this final season but for sure we will see atleast one Demogorgon as it seems that they are doing VFX work on one right now as they are filming through this final season.

 

 

The second picture is further proof of that we see this Demogorgon head on a stick and this is likely a prop that the crew used and maybe walked around with while they were filming a scene just to give the other actors a point of reference for when they are filming so they can look at the head of this Demogorgon and then when they do all the VFX work we will see the final product. It looks like our characters are actually at a real Demogorgon as opposed to just head on a stick and when it comes to creatures from the upside down the Demogorgon is the classic pick because we have got the Demodogs and Demobats but the Demogorgon reigns supreme even over the MindFlayer. 

In the third picture, we can see the Duffer Brothers looking at some monitors obviously probably taking a look at what they are shooting or what they have just shot. The first question is where are they? If you look at the wallpaper in the background, the wood on the walls is almost perfectly lined up with the inside of the Wheeler household as seen in the picture. The pattern of the wallpaper is identical and even the wood lining on the wall in the background matches with it. In fact, it can be said where the Duffer Brothers are actually (in the Wheeler House set), but there is always an off-chance of somewhere else. We know that they have been filming in a new mansion in Georgia and so this could be the interior shots at that house. But regardless they are in someone's house and if we zoom in on this bottom left monitor of the third picture, it looks like we can see the head of the Demogorgon almost walking down the hallway and a character's hand is just out of frame. Perhaps all the creatures from the upside down are out and about at some point in this season as we do know Hawkins and the upside down seemingly merged at the end of season 4. Again it is really hard to fully make out anything from that bottom picture but in the bottom left we can see the Demogorgon head on a stick. So we are sure that the Demogorgon is coming back. 

A video was released from the Stranger Things broadcast channel showing us the good old Rainbow room. In this video, we can see we are inside the Rainbow room and the lights are flickering like crazy. After seeing that video, our mind immediately went to more Rainbow room flashbacks particularly in season 4 because the opening season 4 takes place in September 1979 and obviously throughout the season we see Eleven recounting these memories from her time in the Rainbow room with Number One. Obviously building up to the big reveal that Number One is Vecna and Eleven ultimately sends him to the Upside down but all that took place in 1979 so there is one route they could go where we revisit these flashbacks. A new information is revealed from these scenes recontextualizing what we thought we knew about Vecna and Eleven, potentially Will Byers could to play a role in these flashbacks. 

In a recent Ross Stuffer photo dump, one of the photos was a picture of the Rainbow room set seemingly from the massacre Hawkins lab as we can see blood on the ground and the whole room looks desheveled and on the top of this photo "BLOOD REFERENCES" is written out. So we can hope that they are going to take us back to the scenes shown in season 4 or we can see some time periods or maybe they can carry us even further back in the Rainbow room to when it was just Number One hanging around or maybe even flashbacks to before September 1979 in the Rainbow room. For surely, we can say that the Rainbow room is coming back in the final season.

Conclusion

That is all we have from the Stranger things broadcast channel that the Demogorgon is returning maybe multiple of them. And they are going back to the Rainbow room. So a lot of season 1 items are making a return and we hope they continue to tease us with behind the scene photos to make up the hype more bigger.
